Salman Khan Eyed First on Katrina Kaif

FANS of former couple Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif can catch their great chemistry together in the recently released song Masha Allah from the film, Ek Tha Tiger. Katrina does some belly dancing in the song sequence on the Internet. It is shot against a Middle Eastern backdrop and has Salman eyeing Katrina in a souk, reports Times Of India.
The song is the integral part of the film where Salman praises Katrina. He feels that she is extremely beautiful and that’s why the song is so fitted.
“When the song sequence was discussed, Katrina was shooting at the border of Turkey and Iraq, so she decided to learn the dance form,” quoted a source, adding that there are five costume changes in the song and Katrina was involved in deciding each of the looks. The song was composed by Sajid Wajid and sung by Wajid and Shreya Ghoshal.
Daisy dances
ANOTHER item girl to look out for in Bollywood is southern export Daisy Shah. The Kannada model will sway her hips to an upbeat number in Bloody Ishq, reports ApunKaChoice.com. Daisy is said to be choreographer Ganesh Acharya’s first assistant. Ganesh choreographed her moves in the item number for Bloody Ishq. The item number was shot in Sakinaka, a Mumbai suburb.
Daisy is seen as a cabaret girl, dancing with a number of pretty Indian and foreign dancers. She has danced in a number of Tamil films. Her first film was Mounamana Neram.
No stunt double for Jayam
THE latest development on the sets of Aadhi Bhagavan is that Jayam Ravi performed a stunt sequence in Thailand, reports IBNLive.in.com. “It was a spine-chilling action sequence. Jayam rejected using a body double and performed the scene on his own. The output was so good,” quoted a source.
The film sees Neetu Chandra playing the female lead. The action thriller about an intelligence officer solving a crime in a foreign country, is directed by Ameer.
Kareena as Prime Minister of India
KAREENA Kapoor will star in Prakash Jha’s film on politics, titled Satyagrah, reports Hindustan Times. Ajay Devgan will play the hero while Kareena will play the Prime Minister of India. Moviegoers are expected to see her in a less glamorous look for the role. Kareena has tasked her team to research major women prime ministers in the world. The film is expected to start shooting end of the year, after her wedding in October.
Thaandavam in Tamil and Telugu
MANY Kollywood films are made simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu these days such as Saguni, Naan Ee and Billa 2.
Joining the ranks is the Vikram starrer, Thaandavam, reports IndiaGlitz.com. It will be simultaneously released in Andhra Pradesh as Sivathandavam. It is expected to attract the Telugu audience as Tollywood star Jagapathi Babu is in it.
Last week, a Press conference was held in Hyderabad to promote the film. The entire cast and crew were present. Produced by UTV Motion Pictures, Thaandavam is directed by AL Vijay, with music by G. V. Prakash Kumar. The leading ladies include Anushka Shetty, Amy Jackson and Lakshmi Rai.
Yuvan’s 100th score
YUVAN Shankar Raja, 31, son of music composer Illaiyaraja, will be composing tunes for his 100th film titled Biriyani, reports Times Of India. “Good news to my fans and friends, Biriyani is my 100th movie, really excited to work with Venkat Prabhu, Premgi Amaren and Vasuki Bhaskar,” tweeted Yuvan.
Directed by his cousin Venkat Prabhu, the film stars Karthi. Although no announcement has been officially made about the female lead, word has it that it will be Richa Gangopadhyay. Yuvan’s music score can be heard in the now showing Billa 2.
From calendar girl to policewoman
CALENDAR girl Esha Gupta, who was in some bold sequences in Jannat 2, stars as a police officer in Chakravyuh, reports Glamsham.com. The Prakash Jha film focuses on militant groups.
Esha plays Rhea Menon, wife of SP Adil Khan (Arjun Rampal) the head of the Intelligence Bureau of Bhopal. By utilising Rhea’s expertise in technology, Adil and the police manage to control Naxalite movements in their area.
Esha is doing some of the stunts herself. “She did a very good stunt sequence in a helicopter with the door open and there was a lot of gunfire. It was quite a daredevil act,” said Prakash.
Chakravyuh also stars Abhay Deol, Arjun Rampal, Om Puri and Kabir Bedi. The film will hit theatres on Oct 5.
